His heart is in Huntsville Texas it is outstanding. Every time I go I'm deeply satisfied.
The new management has really turned this place around! The food is fresh, great quality and was served piping hot! The buffet had a wealth of choices and was reasonably priced. The cashier was friendly and courteous......makes you feel welcome! Myself and two companions enjoyed very much the fantastic food and service! Kudos to the owners and staff at this transformed institution! We will be back and recommending Hartz to everyone!!!!
For its cost, Hartz buffet never ceases to please me. I'm a fan of their chicken livers. On my most recent visit (near closing time), when I asked for more chicken livers (only two remained on the buffet when I arrived), the staff not only prepared a fresh order, but delivered the wonderful chicken livers to me at my table !
They kept putting fresh chicken on the buffet and all vegetables were full. The staff were very friendly but busy keeping up. It was unusually clean for such a busy period which was nice as I saw the sense of urgency to maintain cleanliness.
I love there's variety & price point for the buffet. There's a home town small town feel, similar to the Brenham location where it's noticeable how many obvious regular individuals on their work lunch come here and converse with their other friends they run into. Small town vibes, slightly intimidating if you're of a different race other than caucasian, but otherwise a pleasant experience. The staff is kind but I don't appreciate the fact I grabbed a small styrofoam bowl not knowing the employee would ask if she could use a small cup instead for my ice cream since I wasn't getting anything other than ice cream. Then had the nerve to ask me if I wanted any more before I left while I refilled my cup. That's what the small bowl is, atleast that's why I grabbed one, but I guess this location has an issue with people probably being wasteful. So I get it. I'll visit here again next time I'm in the area.
